Sound Image

I bought my first turntable from Sound Image in 1986 when they were over by Emory University, and have always been thrilled to have a Linn dealer in town. I recently asked for their help upgrading my circa 1993 LP12 turntable and had a great experience. The results are fantastic and they were considerate of my goals and budget. If your stereo is not frequently giving you goosebumps (it should), do yourself a favor and go listen. They will reset your expectations about what a home system is capable of.

I've been assembling audio systems since I was teenager in the 1980s, and this has led me to many shops in the many places I have lived, from NJ to OR and various spots in between. Echo Audio in PDX was my gold standard, and to the point that I continued to buy from them even after moving to ATL. But Sound Image has finally made me a local buyer again. Lawson and his son Declan are knowledgeable without losing the joy of music to specs, and they listen well to customer interests and preferences. They also avoid unnecessary upsells and have generously let me demo things in my home. And when I bought a new cartridge from them, they recalibrated my table, which has it sounding the best it ever has. The idea of a loyal customer seems like a relic these days, but they have made me one, and a happy one at that.

I drove from Augusta to Sound Image to experience HiFi Audio for the first time. I am an aspiring audiophile who was in search of audio bliss that one reads about or learns by online videos. My search finally came to an end at Sound Image in Roswell, Georgia. After giving me a tour of their intimate and beautiful store, Lawson and his son, Declan proceeded to take me on an immersive and exciting journey leading me to a musical paradise where electronics and HiFi equipment simply disappear; leaving only the music and listener alone to enjoy one another as “One Being”. Lawson and Declan gave me hours of their time showing me incredible products and new innovations that I have never seen before. The service is bespoke and the two can meet any listener exactly where they’re at. Lawson and his Son are HiFi Shamans that can disciple any level of audiophile to experience musical purity at its highest level. But don’t take my word for it, schedule an appointment with them and experience The Truth for yoursel!!! Thanks again Lawson and Declan! So grateful!!!!

This customer feedback is spontaneous and unrehearsed. I am so happy!! After considerable delay (on my part) I was finally able to meet with Mr. Lawson Hale, proprietor of Sound Image. He installed the upgrades and returned my LP12 in short order and in the best condition it's ever been. Mr. Hale was very patient and considerate of me and my situation. His assistant Luca enjoyed licking my face. I intend on returning to upgrade the spindle bearing and bring doggy treats. I am so happy and I believe you will be too!

My experience with Sound Image has been terrific. The price wasnt just reasonable, it was bargain level for a demo product (a REL 212/SE sub) that was indistinguishable from a brand new one. I contacted Lawson by phone, bought the sub only a few hours later. He was very nice, answered all my questions, helped with any concerns I had at the time. The office was very nice, many great toys I'd love to buy in the future: Dynaudio, REL, Linn, etc. He was very helpful, packed the sub, rolled it out to my car. This is my first purchase from a dealer. I usually buy used equipment off of Ebay, Audiogon, Craigslist for budgetary reasons. I've always thought dealers are simply too expensive. Imagine my surprise when I got a deal that was simply a steal even for a private purchase! I will visit and buy from Lawson again very soon. Highly, very highly recommended!
